Who are we?

We are a non-profit serving the northeast Tennessee region. Our mission is “To reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats by providing prompt spay/neuter access, assistance, and education in our northeast Tennessee region”.

What do we do?

We work with several spay/neuter organizations in the area that currently include the Young-Williams Spay/Neuter Clinic in Knoxville, and the Dog and Cat Depot in Rogersville, TN All of these partners are dedicated to keeping the cost of surgery down while maintaining high quality surgical services. We match you with the location and date that best serves you and your pet’s needs.

In addition to providing prompt and low-cost surgical services, we are constantly working to have funding available to subsidize the cost of surgeries for those unable to pay the full amount. In order to allow our funding sources to be used most efficiently, we appreciate it if you can pay the full amount of the surgery. However, when funding is available for a given situation, we are happy to help you with a payment subsidy.

How can you help?

Tell your friends, family, acquaintances, or anybody you know in northeast TN that has unfixed dogs or cats! We have spaces to fill and want to make it easy for everybody.

Financial contributions are, of course, always welcome. We received our 501(c)(3) status in March, 2013, and donations are tax deductible. Contributions can be made via PayPal at our website, www.beattheheatalliance.com or mail to Beat the Heat Alliance, 318 Far Side Dr.,  Rogersville, TN 37857.

Donate any cell phones, ink jet cartridges, small electronics like GPS, calculators, etc. that we will send to Planet Green Recycle to receive operating and expense funds. Bring them to the clinics and we will so appreciate you!

We are also actively seeking individuals to train to volunteer with check-ins and discharges on our clinic dates. We also need help with phone calling and fundraising, distribution of flyers, and other volunteer opportunities as they arise. Please call us at 423-921-4519 for more information or to start volunteering today!
